Vita Liberata Fast Acting Tan Mousse

I am blessed with Irish very fair skin that won't tan no matter what I do. So, I have been resorting to fake tan for over 25 years. I feel really over that time, that I have tried them all. Every brand, type, colour that there is. I have a few favourties but I am always looking out for a newer better tan that is dark and stays dark. Maybe it's my skin type, but this is not an easy feat. That is largely due to the fact that there is no base, so I'm asking a lot from a tan.

I have used many Vita Liberata tans over the years, including the Long Lasting pHenomenal tan and the Body Blur. I think they are a good brand and very innovative.

The pHenomenal tan promises to last 2-3 weeks if applied three times in 24 hours. My experience was that it lasted 5 days, 2 of which it was very good. But that's a lot of faff for a two day tan.

The Body Blur is a great cover up - like a heavy makeup for the body that washes off. It's a great product for last minute tan applications but it is a bit messy to apply. There is a new Body Blur that develops into a tan. It's nice but it has a strong fake tan smell - which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing it like a makeup during the day.

The premise behind this Fast Acting Mousse is to apply it and you choose how dark you want to go by deciding how long before you wash it off. It begins developing after 30 minutes, and you can wash off after one hour for a lighter tan, or three hours for a dark tan. As always, with these tans, I left it on overnight.

But the results were disappointing. It just didn't really take. After 12 hours, the tan I had was light at best after washing. I forgot to take pictures of the tan - I'll learn as I go along. I had to put another tan on over it to get any sort of colour so another expense that wasn't worth it I'm afraid.
